Zeekr 7X Tips, Tricks and Facts

Here’s my list of random knowledge for things I have discovered in my Zeekr 7X.

  • When using the app to move the vehicle, you must have Passive Entry enabled in Apple Wallet settings for the Zeekr key.
This setting will make your iPhone connect to the vehicle using Bluetooth which establishes the connection required to use remote parking in the Zeekr app.
Having this setting off can result in the message that Bluetooth is disconnected when attempting to remote park.
  • Is there any way to get a built-in dashcam?
Officially? No. But there are ways to achieve this.
A user named dts88 has created an application that can be sideloaded via AppLab that will access the cars internal and external cameras to record while driving.

This software is not under my control or Zeekr’s, use this at your own risk.
  • What is maximum speed the Zeekr 7X can achieve?
The Zeekr 7X maximum speed is 210km/h for any variant.
  • Can I use surround sound in Plex?
Yes you can! I have found that the easiest way to get this working is to set the quality of the media you are playing to ‘Convert Automatically’. That then allows Plex to request the media to be transcoded into the format required for the Plex app to utilise surround sound. It is glorious to hear your media in surround sound in the vehicle!
  • Strong regen will make your brake lights illuminate whenever your foot is off the accelerator entirely.
If you do not like this behaviour then I recommend changing your regeneration setting to Light mode. (This is under the ‘Driving’ category in the settings app)
  • Is the 12v plug in the boot always active?
No, the 12v plug is not always active, when the car goes to sleep the 12v will become de-energized. You can override this behaviour by using Parking Comfort or Camp Mode.
  • The easiest way to change the two shortcut buttons?
Press and hold either shortcut button (located under the central screen and on the steering wheel). A menu will pop up on the display, allowing you to select a new function for that button.
  • Can the glovebox be pin-protected?
No, currently our Australian firmware does not allow this. Fingers crossed for it to be enabled in a future update
