🚧 This site is a still a work in progress! 🚧
So I’ve had my Zeekr 7X for over a month now and one of the many things I loved about it was that the speedometer was perfectly accurate. If I was doing 110 km/h then Waze would also perfectly report I was doing 110 km/h.
This all changed one day when the speedo suddenly started showing me doing 2km/h less than the speed limit, and I let it get to me way more than I should have. After having the perfectly accurate speedo, it felt like a massive downgrade to have the car suddenly be purposefully inaccurate.
So how did I fix it? Well..
It was an extremely easy fix, but to start with the background, I did mention I normally use Waze maps when in my car. It seems that if you don’t activate the GPS mapping system built into the car, it goes into a sleep mode and does not activate. I assume this is to conserve data and power by not running services that aren’t being used.
So all I did to fix it was open the built in navigation software, after doing this my speedo was suddenly accurate again! I’m not sure how long this lasts, but I will update this post if it ever reverts back to reading 2 km/h under again.
